Stampin' Up! Truly Tailored and True Gentlemen for Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Image may contain: text

Wow, this is so exciting...blogging with two of the best leaders...Amy Koenders and Sandi MacIver and all our wonderful crafting team members. You are in for a BIG treat, peeps, once a month with two teams combined for the hop. This month we have our choice: we can strictly follow the color challenge, the sketch OR both! Here's my card for which I used both!

Here are the challenges:

My card base is Tranquil Tide, with a mat of Night of Navy and DSP from the True Gentlemen package. When I made this card, the DSP was retiring but still available. It has since sold out. (If you are interested in purchasing, I can try to find a demonstrator who has an extra package for sale, just let me know.)

The ovals are die cut from the Layering Ovals  Framelits. I adhered them to each other with Tombow glue and adhered the Navy to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment and bow tie are from Guy Greetings and Truly Tailored, respectively, stamped in Night of Navy and Tranquil Tide on the Crumb Cake oval. These two stamp sets are retiring as of May 31 and could become unavailable prior to that. The card front was so easy to do, it only took minutes.

For the inside, I used a piece of the now gone DSP, a mat of Night of Navy and a mat of Crumb Cake. I rounded off all the corners using the new Detailed with Love Punch (available June 1...if you become a demonstrator before then, you can have it now!)

I sponged the Crumb Cake piece with Crumb Cake ink. I also put my own dots around the edges using my Night of Navy Stamp 'n Write Marker. I was trying to get a leathery, awl-punched look. The marker is available at the moment in the Regals collection but is not sold alone. I left the inside blank as I will be sending it to Send A Smile 4 Kids and they request that.  I am also entering their challenge again, which ends tomorrow!

The products that are available are listed below (with the exception of DSP), along with measurements.

Clicking on the "Next" button will take you Sandi MacIver on our "sister" team! If you prefer, you can click on any name below to go directly to that blog.
