Stampin' Up! Out with the Old, In with the New

Today, I decided I'd play along with Chrissy Larson's challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch #272. I hope it fits the bill.

My card is a mixture of sad and happy...sad that the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP is gone and happy that I love the new Balmy Blue and Grapefruit Grove. I am happy that the Pretty Label Punch carried over. I absolutely love the new Detailed With Love stamp set and the Nature's Twine. The new products will be available June 1. Let me know if I can help you order them OR help you get them before then!

Now, let me tell you how this was constructed...

Ingredients and Measurements:

Card Base: Balmy Blue 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"

Solid Mat: Grapefruit Grove Cardstock 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

DSP: Whole Lot of Lovely 3" x 4 1/4" (you can substitute June 1 with another pretty DSP or sooner...hint, hint...can you say demonstrator?)

Bow: Nature's Twine Grapefruit Grove

Sentiment: Pretty Label Punch, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Detailed with Love stamp set, Whisper White cardstock scrap.

Instructions:

Ink up sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamp on Whisper White scrap. Punch with the Pretty Label punch. Sponge with Grapefruit Grove.

Adhere DSP to Grapefruit Grove mat.

Adhere Grapefruit Grove to card base.

Put 4 dimensionals on the back of the sentiment and attach it to the card front.

Make a bow with the twine and attach it to the card front with a glue dot. Card front done!

For the inside:

Whisper White 3" x 4 1/4"
DSP strip 3/4" x 4 1/4"

You don't need instructions cuz I know you know the drill! I also want to give Janet Wakeland credit for her inspiration.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I want to reiterate that I appreciate all of your comments.

  1. Very pretty, I haven't played with my new colors very much and hopefully on this rainy day, I can do that! This is one of the prettiest DSPs SU ever made!

    1. Unfortunately, I have a lot of this DSP left. It was too pretty to use ... you know that feeling, right? Thank you for commenting.
