Today I didn't bring a Paper Pumpkin kit to the horsepistol because I thought discharge would be around 9 or 10. One doctor was in at 7 and said my husband was good to go but had to wait for the discharge doctor. Prior days, that doctor showed up at 9. Today he showed up at 12:30. The nurse didn't get the papers written up until 2:30...annoying to say the least! We got out at 3 PM and had to pick up prescriptions, take care of neglected things around the house, and cook mother's day dinner. We enjoyed our lobsters, I'll tell you that! So, I didn't get to make a card.
However, I want to show you another card we made at card group Thursday...it is not SU, but I LOVE it!
Here's the inside...
I used one of the sentiments from Floral Phrases. I believe it became available in 2016 and is currently available. After I made the inside this morning (5/15/18), I decided to enter it at Retro Rubber #86
I hope this is not considered back linking. If it is, would someone from Retro Rubber please let me know. I figured it falls within the time frame of the challenge.
So pretty Karen! Love the colors and the ribbon. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks much, Amy.
DeleteBlessings to your husband. May his strength grow daily. Karen, I am also sending you long distance Reiki on a daily basis to add to your incredible strength. Blessings and White Light: XXX Mal, Melbourne, Australia. You are truly an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mal.
DeleteLovely card. Beautiful paper. I hope Perry is feeling better, and you are too! Hospitals can be very wearing on one.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie. I think I said I loved it twice...guess I meant it...lol. Perry is feeling better mentally. Yes, two hospital stays within 3 weeks has worn him down.
DeleteTakes forEVER to get OUT! Like the Hotel California! Glad you finally got away -and had some wonderful dinner for Mother's Day! This IS beautiful paper! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, but at the Hotel California, you get pink champagne on ice :-) Have I told you lately that I love this paper?
DeleteGorgeous card, Karen! I know what u mean about checking out of a hospital. It never happens till afternoon! We spent all day at the cancer center today , (thought it was a 3 hour day & was 7.), but I did take some stamped things that needed fussy cut so got a lot of that done. You inspired me so now have a small tote with stamping things ready. So glad your hubby is home. You are both in our prayers!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Patti. We have also spent more hours than anticipated at the cancer center. Where do you go, if you don't mind my asking? I am thrilled that I have inspired you.
DeleteVery pretty card! I consider back-linking when the post was published before the first day of the challenge. Thank you for playing with us at Retro Rubber and hope you will join us again soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie. Thanks also for clarifying what that term means. I enjoy my old stamps so I will definitely play again!
