Stampin' Up! Petal Garden

I'm entering today's card in the challenge at Dragonfly Dreams - Flowers. I CASEd a card of my friend, and fellow demonstrator, LeAnne. You can see her card here. She, like me, feels most of the paper in this pack is a bit overwhelming. However, when I did what she did, I thought I ended up with a pretty card.
I cut a piece of the Petal Garden DSP down to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and adhered it to my Whisper White card base.

I cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock (4 1/4" x 2 1/2") and a piece of Old Olive (4" x 2 1/4") for mats. I cut another piece of the DSP (3 3/4" x 2") and adhered it to the Old Olive mat. Then I ran that through the Big Shot using the die from the Sale-A-Bration Celebrate You Thinlits, saving the center of the "o". (These dies will carry over to the Annual Catalog to be released June 1, 2018.)

I glued a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper ( 1 1/2" x 2) to the back, wrapped a piece of white satin ribbon around the left side and made a faux bow. I stamped the word "thank" from the Work of Art stamp set in Tranquil Tide above the "you". Then I adhered that to the Rich Razzleberry mat with Dimensionals. I then adhered that to the card front with liquid glue.

I haven't decided what to do with the inside so if anyone has suggestions, I'd love to read your comment.

Oh, and for my readers...the cards in my "Cards For Sale" tab at the top of this post are on sale!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed Sunday!

  3. Your card is lovely but I agree about the paper pack. It is a challenge to "tame" the garden. I tried the link to the card you CASEd but it did not work. I wonder if you would provide the URL to her website? Thanks.

  4. Karen, no need to send the URL for LeAnne's blog. I found it in your side bar and was surprised to see she, too, is in SE PA, where I am.
