Stampin' Up! Barn Door and Hold on to Hope

Those of you who know me, know that my favorite color purple has been replaced this year with Lemon Lime Twist. The two of them together send me to seventh heaven...wherever that is...maybe I can get there in this wagon...

Tuesday Throwdown #377 Favorite Color is the place for my card today. My card base is Lemon Lime Twist. I did a color wash of Pool Party, Marina Mist and Soft Sky at the top of a mat of Very Vanilla. On the bottom...pure Lemon Lime Twist!

Using the Barn Door Bundle stamp set and framelits, I stamped the barn door in Memento Tuxedo Black on Real Red cardstock and cut it out with the Sliding Door framelits. I stamped two wheels on Smoky Slate with the wreath stamp that has the bow and cut them out with the matching die. The flowers are cut out from the other wreath. I stamped those on scraps of Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and a scrap of Petal Garden DSP. There are 3 flower dies in this set...so cute AND tiny! Oh, and there is a teensy die for the door handle, which I cut out from a Basic Black scrap. I now have a metal plate with magnetic strips that sits on the window ledge...no more lost dies for me!

I adhered the wheels to the "wagon" and placed it on my watercolor washed panel to determine where I should place the "floral arrangement", removed it and stamped the "leaves" in Tranquil Tide (for Mary!) and then adhered the wagon. I glued the cut flowers wherever the leaves had flowers. That stamp is from Hold on to Hope. I love that set and it comes as a bundle as well.

The "Hello" sign is a stamp and die from the Barn Door Bundle. I used Dapper Denim ink and stamped off once. After cutting it out with the die, I trimmed it and added it to the panel with Dimensionals. Voila...card front done! Quick and easy peasy!

I have not finished the inside of the card as I don't know to whom it is going...might be a college girl or a man in his 80's. Do you think it's too feminine? Well, no matter, thank you Tami White for the inspiration from your January 30th blog post!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow...hope you will too!
