Stampin' Up! Hexagon

So, it's the week of bringing back the Hexagon Punch! Yesterday was Basic Gray and Lemon Lime Twist. Today it's browns and gray.

This is one of the cards we made at our card group last week. We all needed masculine cards. I'm not quite sure how to finish the inside so if you have any suggestions, I'd love it if you'd leave a comment.

Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow!

Stampin' Up! Amazing You

For my card today, I used a retired SU punch (Hexagon) and the new, exclusive to Sale-A-Bration, Celebrate You thinlits die set and Amazing You stamp set. The dies will be available after Sale-A-Bration but they won't be free as they are now. Curious about that? Click on the Sale-A-Bration tab at the top of my blog to learn how you can get them for free!

I must have been asleep at the wheel because I should have embossed the strip inside. Oh, well, it took less time to make! Next time!!

Cardz 4 Galz - Challenge # 63 Anything BUT Square is the challenge to which I am linking it. I think that site might be related to Cardz 4 Guyz! I've played there before, but never with its sister. There are some neat cards at both sites so I hope you have time to visit both of them.

My card base is Whisper White, the hexagons are Basic Gray and Lemon Lime Twist. The sequins are from Tutti Fruitti Adhesive Backed Sequins. This is a clean and simple card and takes little time to put together. Too bad I couldn't find a CAS challenge in which to play cuz I rarely do CAS cards.

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully, you'll visit again tomorrow.

Stampin' Up! Heartland

I love it when you can get double mileage out of a stamp set, have fun with your team AND enter a challenge that is fun. There is a story behind this card and I worked it into the challenge at SoSS #102 - F is for Farm Life. This is my second entry for their challenge but totally different from yesterday!

Our "Krew" has been identifying colors they are not fond of and our leader did not want to see any of the colors together so I made a "snarky" card for all who named colors! Then, Edna at Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers left the city for the farm so I just had to turn this into a card to welcome her!"

My card base is Whisper White, standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I cut a piece of "Just Add Color" Designer Series Paper and started coloring with my Blender Pens. One person detests Lemon Lime Twist (my favorite); another abhors Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, and Elegant Eggplant. I owned up to disliking Peekaboo Peach and Tranquil Tide. Lastly, another would not miss Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango and Tempting Turquoise. So those are all the colors on the card front. I had to write my own sentiments.

For the inside, I printed out the words to Fred Rogers' song, "Won't You Be My Neighbor" and used the RGB codes for each color on each line. I stamped the barn in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I hope you had as much fun viewing my card and post as I had with it and converting it to fit Edna. I am hoping to make converts in my group so that they will like Lemon Lime Twist, all the purples and blues. Who knows, I may convert to liking the oranges. There is no doubt that I like anything grape related!

Thanks for visiting!

Stampin' Up! Birthday Delivery

What a fun card I made for a friend's birthday...I'll show you various aspects of it...
Back
Front

Looking inside

It's called a "card in a box" and it folds flat in a couple of ways to fit in an A2 envelope. Which way do you like better?

I think I like the first way better so it's more of a surprise when it's opened. It's my first try at this type of card so I hope my next one will be perfect and will take less time for the design and layout.

Not only is it for a friend, but it's for two challenges:

and

In addition to watching the You Tube tutorial on TGIF, I watched these two videos to learn how to make it: Sandi MacIver Video #1 and Sandi MacIver Video #2. Both Carolyn Sander and Sandi provide the measurements needed.

I used quite a number of products to make this card and you can see them below. Everything is Stampin' Up! and current products with the exception of the chick and chicken and sentiment on the banner. Those are from last year's Sale-A-Bration and are called "Hey Chick" and "Honeycomb Happiness."

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card.

Stampin' Up! Eastern Beauty

Thursday was our card group meeting and we also celebrated Sue's birthday. She got some lovely cards from the group and I forgot to take a picture of them and the group! BUT, I did get a photo of her cake!! You know where my mind runs...
It tasted as wonderful as it looked. Meg did a great job of picking it out from Publix bakery. That decorator earns his/her money!

Speaking of decorating, here are the cards we made...

Sue provided lunch and the card kits! I decided to CASE the third one today and enter it in Just Add Ink #393..."Colour"

Here you go...
The stamp set and dies can be purchased as a Bundle here. This set is so versatile and I haven't even begun to touch the tip of the iceberg with it. I think this is only the second time I've used it so I hope it sticks around for next year!

My card base is Whisper White and the mat is Crumb Cake. The Lemon Lime Twist strip is from the Eastern Palace DSP. I used Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide for my cut outs and Tranquil Tide for ink. The center circle is stamped with two stamps from the set. The center of the "flower" is a Gold Faceted Gem.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
