Stampin' Up!: Swirly Snowflakes

There are no snowflakes swirling around us today, but there is the threat of Irma approaching. We are hoping she swirls out to sea and leaves us be!

My husband had MOHS surgery this morning to remove a squamous cell carcinoma. It's a wait and see procedure that takes place in one day. I was able to watch a number of TV shows including Rachel Ray, lucky for me,  and unlucky enough to watch Wendy Williams talk show. However, Perry was blessed to have his cancer reamed out in one try and I was blessed by the dress...the dress Wendy was wearing gave me inspiration for a card. Talk shows can be good for something!

Here's my card:

So, I used the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies in So Saffron and Silver Foil. The front of my thick Whisper White card was stamped in Bermuda Bay using a stamp from the October 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit, Season of Gratitude. I could have used DSP from Color Theory but Bermuda Bay was not part of it.

My sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in Smokey Slate on a So Saffron Stitched Shapes Framelit oval and mounted on a Layering Oval die cut of Bermuda Bay.

I based my colors on SIP 115 - Colors Challenge

The Design Team's cards are wonderful and three of my faves are Amy, Jenny and LeAnne!

Tomorrow will be spent boarding up the windows and bringing in projectiles! God forbid the hurricane enters the house...there will be DSP strewn from here to there and back again. I want to use it up, but not THAT way!

Thanks for looking and if you want a closer look at the products I used, check these links out!

  1. Hey - fun card! And I love the color scheme - not something I'd have thought of for snowflakes but it all really works wonderfully! :)
