Stampin' Up!: Paisleys and Posies

I want to thank Jenny Hall for giving me the inspiration and letting me CASE her card.

The Stampin' Up! team I belong to participates in the leader's monthly challenge. For September, it's anything "fall". So, with that in mind, I created this card for our friends' 30th anniversary. (This is one time I hope someone doesn't read my blog!) My card base is Mossy Meadow (retired) BUT it is the color for a 30th wedding anniversary!

For the front panel, I watercolored a piece of Whisper White with Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry using an Aqua Painter. Then I put a piece of vellum cardstock across it. I added hearts from Bright Sequins (clearance) and also copper embossed "leaves" to add a little more interest to the white and paisleys. I colored the paisley shapes with SU markers.

Not only did I use fall colors, but I used "fall" in the sentiment. It's difficult to photograph certain aspects of the card...like the sentiment that is copper embossed. It says, "Love isn't in the falling..."

and for the inside...

I sponged a Whisper White panel with Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, and Crushed Curry and adhered it to a Tangelo Twist mat. The stamp set and dies, Paisleys & Posies are from the current Annual Catalog and can be purchased by clicking on the blue link.

The sentiments are from Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, which can also be purchased through the link. I created my own heart with the "30th" embossed in copper. Because I made my own mark by handwriting the "30th" with my Versa Mark pen, I am entering it in Alphabet Challenge "M" for Make Your Mark.
