It's been awhile since I've played at TSOT #340
so I thought I'd enter my birthday card in Kaylin's sketch challenge. I took a little liberty in the placement but I hope I'll be forgiven. The optional theme is: Petite Patterns. I think the retired Petals & and Paisleys DSP fits. My Mint Macaron mat is embossed with the Woodland TIEF, adhered to a Very Vanilla card base. My mat under the DSP is Cajun Craze. The sentiment is from a Paper Pumpkin kit and I hand cut the banners. The "21" is from the Large Numbers Thinlits. I needed a masculine card for a birthday on the 21st. I best go get it in the mail! BUT before I do, I need to enter this in WWC137 Penny's Anything Goes Masculine Card Challenge.
Thanks for looking!
Karen thanks so much for entering your lovely petite patterned birthday card at the Masculine birthday challenge this week at Watercooler Wednesday. Love those bold numbers and the woodland background embossing.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, what a great birthday card! I love the way you've combined colours by taking inspiration from the colours in the Designer Paper. The background embossing of trees adds to the masculine feel. Love the way you've used the date of the birthday as your focal point. Great card. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Penny and Heidi. My upline was instrumental in the embossing part!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! I love the embossed background and the colors are just perfect for fall! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Karen! This is such a perfect "guy" card - love the embossing! And that DSP was one of my favorites so it's cool to see it again! Great job! :)
