Stampin' Up! Friends of the Ocean for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came!! We have a color challenge for you today and here is a thumbprint of what I created for our hop...

May be a graphic of text

Let's take a closer look at the front and inside, shall we?

My card base is Berry Burst card stock and the Designer Series Paper is Friends of the Ocean (available in the Last Chance Products as of the creation of this card!).

The sand dollar is from the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set and is cut and embossed with the Seaside Wishes Dies and Hybrid Folder. I sponged it with Basic Beige and wished I hadn't.

The "love you" sentiment is from the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set. "Time to Celebrate" is from the Round We Go Stamp Set as is the "Happy Birthday" inside. They were stamped with Berry Burst and Pumpkin Pie.

For the star fish images inside, I used a stamp from Seaside Wishes. I stamped them in Calypso Coral, Summer Splash, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist and Melon Mambo.

The fun fold design was inspired by Mary Anne Cowan. There are other videos on You Tube for the fold, but I saw hers first!

Measurements in inches:

Base: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4; cut top left at fold to bottom right corner

DSP: 4 x 5 1/4; cut from top left corner to bottom right corner

Basic White inside: 4 x 5 1/4

Smaller card: 3 x 8 1/2, scored and folded at 4 1/4

DSP: 2 3/4 x 4

Basic White inside: 2 1/2 x 3 3/4

Again, thank you for stopping by! Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. I hope you enjoy all the creativity.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.

Stampin' Up! Seaside Wishes for Creative Creases Challenge #91 Anything with a Fun Fold

Welcome to our Anything Goes With a Fun Fold Challenge. If you haven't played at Creative Creases Challenge before, what are you waiting for? Hop on over to Challenge #91. We'd love to see your fun fold creation. Here's a snapshot of mine...

So let's take a closer look at the front of my fun fold...
I CASE'd my friend, Alyson Mayo. If you join her Facebook Group, you will have access to all her Fun Fold videos. They are invaluable and she is a wonderful teacher! She calls this one the "Sunflower Envelope Card". I call mine the "Seashell Envelope Card"! Thank you, Alyson! You can find her on FB by searching for "Create with Alyson - Membership" and then request to join her group.

Take a look at the opened card and side view...

I added mats for my triangle pieces, which Alyson didn't do because she used CTMH cardstock and theirs is one color on one side and slightly lighter color on the reverse. SU is solid color. The patterned paper is one I used before here.

A list of products can be found in the chart below.

Thank you for stopping by today and I can't wait to see all the creativity from the team. Be sure to check us out at CCC#91 and we hope to see your entry there!

Welcome to our Anything Goes With a Fun Fold Challenge. If you haven't played at Creative Creases Challenge before, what are you waiting for? Hop on over to Challenge #89. We'd love to see your fun fold creation. My fun fold today is one I learned from Alyson Mayo on her Facebook page. Go to FB, search for Create with Alyson - Membership and then request to join the group. In the meantime, take a look see...
Alyson calls this a "triangle front fun fold" and I call it a tongue twister! Thank you, Alyson!! Let's take a closer look at all the angles. I had to use the geode to hold the front down unfortunately.

My Pretty Peacock card base is 11" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4", 5 1/2", 6 3/4".

The DSP measures 4" x 5 1/4" (2 for front and inside) The diagonal on cardstock is cut from 1" to the upper first score  line. The triangles...you're on your own unless you join Alyson to see her video! The two small strips of DSP measure 1" x 5 1/4".

Stampin' Up! Comforting Thoughts Meets Paradise Palms & By the Dock

Good morning my stamping friends. Today's card is a mixed bag of retired stamp sets and one current.

The sentiment from Comforting Thoughts is current. The boat from By the Dock and the palm trees from Paradise Palms are both retired. The Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is also retired. The birds from the Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds are current. The inks I used are current...Boho Blue, Bubble Bath, and Lemon Lolly.

I made this with my card group from Florida last Thursday afternoon! We joined each other via Zoom. I haven't been with them since August 2023 and I miss them. Take a look see at one of the cards I created with the ladies...

So, you've seen mine, now I'll show you the card Sue L. demonstrated.

We had so much fun figuring out one of the stamp sets she used cuz she couldn't remember. I keep an inventory in Evernote of every stamp set I have ever owned. It was so funny that the boat she used was a set I had given to another woman in our group who had forgotten she had it...lol! She pretended she had sold it...big lol! Miss my cohorts!!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop.

Stampin' Up! Sea Turtle Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a sketch challenge today and here is what I created for our hop...

Let's take a closer look and I'll tell you more about it!
My card base is Lost Lagoon with a panel of the new Basic Beige. With stamps from the Sea Turtle Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped the images with Versa Mark Ink.

I had a scrap of the new Summer Splash cardstock on my desk so I embossed it with the Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder. I also had a scrap of the new Petunia Pop cardstock on my desk so I cut the square out with the third largest die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Can you believe the little strip was a scrap I had saved from another card? So, I employed it here. This is a pretty scrappy card, wouldn't you say?

For the inside I cut all new pieces for the mats. The sentiments on the front and inside are from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set. At the bottom I stamped the bubbles from the Sea Turtle Stamp set in Versa Mark.

Stampin' Up! Season of Chic Sympathy Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a color challenge today and here is what I created for our hop.

Let's take a closer look, shall we?

I chose to use Petal Pink, Pool Party and Basic Black. With permission, I threw in some Crumb Cake to make it look more realistic (at least I think so!). It's for a man who lost his beautiful wife awhile ago and I know what it's like to be inundated with cards so I usually wait. It's better to send a card later than not at all. Wouldn't you agree?

My card is a CASE of Jan Clothier. Thank you, Jan.

I kept the inside really simple...

Stampin' Up! Oceanfront Anniversary Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a theme challenge today and here is what I created for our hop.

I used both!

My card base is 4 1/4"" x 5 1/2  piece of  Copper Clay. Cardstock I cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock (4" x 5 1/4") and ran it through my embossing machine with the Painted Textures 3D EF BUT only embossing the sides 1" in.  I cut a strip of Copper Clay 2023-2025 In Color DSP  (2 1/2" x 5 1/2"), sponged it with Copper Clay Ink and adhered it to the Very Vanilla piece, folding 1/4" over the top and securing it with Stampin' Seal+...no glue on the rest of it because I turned it into a flip card!

Next I cut a piece of Copper Clay Cardstock using a Scalloped Contours Die.  On another piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped the scene from the Oceanfront Stamp Set and Seaside Bay Stamp Set using Coastal Cabana (ocean), Crumb Cake (sand), Pebbled Path (shells) and Balmy Blue (sky). I cut it out with a Deckled Rectangle Die. I adhered that to the scalloped mat. Then I adhered only the middle section of the mat to the DSP "flap". I stamped the sentiment from the Days to Remember Stamp Set in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it using Copper Embossing Powder. I punched the sentiment out with the Double Oval Punch and the mat with the same punch using Copper Clay Cardstock. I adhered the sentiment to the mat with liquid glue and the left side of the mat to the "flap" with Stampin' Dimensionals.

After this post, I will add birds to the sky but our hop involves only current product and the birds in flight from the High Tide Stamp Set are retired. It did add something to the card, however!

I can't show you the inside because I already wrote in it. But I can tell you what I did. I used the Days to Remember Stamp Set and stamped July 25, 2015 in Copper Clay Ink. Then I printed out a picture of my daughter and her husband's first dance. (They had been sweethearts in junior high and went their own ways until they met again in 2013. They were made for each other!) I made it to fit under the flap and only adhered it with temporary adhesive in case they want to use another photo. I'm happy the 8th anniversary is copper because it worked perfectly for SU's current In Color.

I'm entering my card in the Double D Challenge "The Great Outdoors" and Can You Handle the Pressure "ATG with a Twist of Stars".

That's it for now peeps. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Clicking on the names listed below will take you directly to team members and their projects. I hope you enjoy all the creativity. Thank you for stopping by!

Stampin' Up! Seaside Bay Masculine Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a sketch challenge today and here is what I created for our hop.

So, as you can see, I turned the card on its side because I wanted it to have more of a beach feel.

I have a friend whose birthday is soon approaching and he does like the beach, birds and shells!

I used the Seaside Bay Stamp Set for my images and the Season of Chic Stamp Set for my sentiments. I used the All That Dies for my sentiment oval and banner ends. All the product used is listed below.
.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2325

Remember the last challenge for me at PIP was 2323 and I was singing "In the Year 2525"? Well, you know what?  I'm not singing it for this challenge...I'm providing you with a different earworm...Soak Up the Sun! So, let's have some fun in the sun with a digital from Beccy's Place. Meet Maggie...

Our sponsor this week is

Beccy has digitals, clear stamps and dies. Check her out by clicking on her logo. There's a $10 Gift Certificate in store for our lucky random winner.

So, let me tell you a little about my Maggie...she is standing on the Englewood Beach shore on a calm day. She has been in the water as you can tell by the wetness of her suit and boogie board. She used to be a surfer but now she is my age, thus the white hair, and no longer has the balance to stand on a surfboard! She loves the feel of sand between her wrinkles...lol! She also loves digging for sharks' teeth. She has a number of them in her collection.

Maggie was fun to color with my Light Crumb Cake, Light Pool Party, Light and Dark Highland Heather Stamp N Blends. I sponged a little Boho Blue on the sky and water portion. I added ripples from the retired High Tide Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight. The sun is a 1/2" circle using Lemon Lolly cardstock My card base is cardstock from the defunct Office Max.  .

I hope you have the time to create something for Pammie's challenge and do check out the wonderful product Beccy has in her store. Thanks , Beccy, for sponsoring this challenge.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Gallery Thinking of You Fun Fold Friday

Yay, it's Friday...a fun fold Friday at that! Here's what I created for today. My design came from Mystery Stamping night with Dani...
