Stampin' Up! Painted Illusions Birthday Card for the Creative Creases Challenge - Anything Goes with a Fun Fold

Welcome to our Anything Goes With a Fun Fold Challenge. If you haven't played at Creative Creases Challenge before, what are you waiting for? Hop on over to Challenge #114. We'd love to see your fun fold creation. Here's mine...

Let's take a closer look...

Misty Moonlight Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"; score at 2 1/8", 4 1/4", 6 3/8" (mountain, valley, mountain)

DSP Front Panels: 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" (2)

Misty Moonlight Decorative Panel: 4" x 5 1/4" cut with Countryside Label Die

Basic White for "30" Panel: 4" x 5 1/4" cut with Countryside Label Die and embossed with Subtle 3D EF. I decorated it with a retired Paper Accent Butterfly (sponged with Granny Apple Green Ink). I stamped and punched the "30" with the retired Alphabest Bundle. I used scraps of the DSP and Misty Moonlight Ink.

Misty Moonlight Mechanism for Pop Out: 1 3/4" x 8", score at 2, 3, 5 and 6 inches; fold into a T and glue bottom of  T in the center fold of the card. Terry Gaines has a great video of how to do this.

I used scraps of Misty Moonlight and Basic White for the birthday sentiment from the current BBQ Master Stamp Set. I cut the mat and sentiment with a die from the retired Grow with Love Dies. I offset them, which I thought gave it a little more interest.

For the back of the card:

Basic White  Back Panel: 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" ; scrap for sentiment on the DSP Panel: 1 7/8" x 5 1/4" . The sentiments are from the retired Hooray for Surprises and Something Fancy stamp sets. I used Misty Moonlight  and Granny Apple Green inks. I fussy cut the "belated" sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today and I can't wait to see all the creativity from the team.  Be sure to check us out at CCC#114 ... we hope to see your entry there!

  1. Beautiful card, Karen! The DSP is so pretty. I have been determined not to get this one, and now I don't know why! The butterfly is so sweet. I will check out the video to see how the pop-up works. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friend!
