Good morning stamping friends. Today's card was inspired by Jackie Bolhuis and should help you feel a little warmer...think ocean and palm trees. So far I have 4" of snow and it is still falling. So, let me take you to the beach...
My card base is Azure Afternoon with a mat of Basic Black, a mat of Balmy Blue embossed with the retired Subtle 3D EF and a piece of Basic White for the sentiment and image from the Happy Place Stamp Set. The black heart may have been punched with the retired Dog Builder Punch. I found it on the floor after converting my retired stamp sets to the new packaging. I have freed up so much space, it's incredible! Here's a small sample...
and for the inside I used the retired Many Mates Stamp Set...
Measurements:
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4"
Basic Black Mat: 5" x 3 3/4"
Balmy Blue Embossed Mat: 4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Basic Black Mat: 4 1/4" x 2 1/4"
Basic White: 4 1/8" x 2 1/8" sentiment/image; 5 1/4" x 4" inner liner
I am really enjoying using my retired stamps along with the new. Thank you for stopping by today.

Beautiful card, I like the blue/black combo with this image!

DeleteThe beachy scene is such a welcome contrast to all that snow, and the layered blues make the whole design feel calm and breezy. The subtle texture on the Balmy Blue panel adds just the right amount of movement, almost like gentle waves behind the focal image. That little black heart is a great accent too, grounding the layout without distracting from the serene palette. A wonderful mix of retired and current supplies, and the inside sentiment ties it together beautifully.
