Stampin' Up! Special Moments Thinking of You Card

Welcome to another HITBH! If you came from Sue Prather's site, I'm glad you are continuing the hop. If you haven't then I hope you'll continue to hop using my links below. No matter what, I'm glad you're here. Today we have a color challenge and here is what I created for it...

I chose to use all the colors except for Real Red.

My card base is Petal Pink cardstock with a mat of Granny Apple Green. I took a panel of Basic White (3 3/4" x 5") and the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks and sponged the butterflies with Pool Party ink and Highland Heather ink. Then I removed the mask and sponged the top with Highland Heather and the bottom with Pool Party and adhered it to the front. I used the masks before I saw how to use them so I will be remaking this card with what I have learned on You Tube!

Next I cut a Highland Heather frame with a die from Ornate Frames. The sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green on Petal Pink cardstock and adhered to the frame with liquid glue. I attached the frame to the card front with Dimensionals. I added three Brushed Brass Butterflies because you can never have too many butterflies!

For the inside, I kept it plain and simple. It's for a person who lost a son recently and is struggling with grief.

I know those feelings quite well so I hope this ministers to the person. The sentiments are also from the Special Moments Stamp Set. The butterfly image is one from the Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set and I just cut the corner stamp off so I could get a clear image without the other...easier that taping off the others! I stamped in in Pool Party ink but it looks really green on the Petal Pink base!
