Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge. I can't wait to see what the other team members created. Hop along with us at the bottom of my post.
Here is what I created for it...
I used the Wildly Happy Stamp Set for my images and sentiments.
My card base is Basic Black with a Whisper White mat that I dry embossed with the Old World 3D Embossing Folder. I sponged the ridges lightly with Smoky Slate which reminded me of wrinkled elephant skin. I adhered it to the base with liquid glue.
I cut a panel of Gray Granite for the mat under the art piece. I stamped the elephants on a scrap of Thick Whisper White and colored them with my Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends and the grass with Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blend. Then I fussy cut them.
I stamped the elephants again on a piece of Thick Whisper White and used the third to largest Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the panel. I did a watercolor wash with Balmy Blue ink for the sky and adhered the fussy cut elephants with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Then on a scrap of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment and die cut it with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I cut another shape out of Gray Granite card stock, cut it in half and adhered it to the back of the sentiment. I popped that up with Dimensionals as well.
With another sentiment from Wildly Happy, I finished off the inside with a mat of Balmy Blue.
