Once a month the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop joins with the Happy Stampers Blog Hop. We are able to choose a sketch or colors. We can also do both. I like to do both because it's a challenge after all! However this month I am traveling and do not have access to supplies so this card was made before I left home and I didn't know the colors. (As this posts, there were no colors as Sandi was in the midst of moving and her two team members are on vacation.)
Here's the sketch...
Here's the sketch...
and here is what I made for it...
I think it follows it pretty close, don't you?
My card base is Soft Sea Foam with a mat of Tranquil Textures DSP.
I cut a square of Shaded Spruce 3 1/2" by 3 1/2" and ran it through my Big Shot using the Tufted TIEF. I then took a piece of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Designer Series Paper and cut off one of the edge pieces and adhered it next to the Tufted square. But before I did that, I ran a Linen Thread around the Tranquil Textures mat and tied a bow. Then I adhered the Shaded Spruce "square" to the DSP and adhered the strip of laser paper next to it.
I adhered the littlest pearls from the Basic Pearl Jewel Basics in the spots where the Tufts were indented. It took 27 itty bitty pearls!
The inside is blank because I'm on the road and I'm sure I will use it for a thank you to to one of the people who have taken us in as guests!
This will be my second entry into the challenge at Cards in Envy to use something new. This is the first time I have used that embossing folder and I think I'll use it more once I get home again.
Thanks for stopping by and traveling with me. Hop along now!
