Stampin' Up! Lily Pad Lake

This was another CASE we made at cards on Thursday. Thank you, Meg, for preparing the card kit and die cutting for us! Thanks to Cindy Braumbaugh for the inspiration and design.

I don't have this bundle yet but I'm sure I will own it soon! We see herons all the time on our "lake" in Florida. SU needs to come out with a Sand Hill Crane stamp set and an alligator!

I found a new challenge site and hope you'll take time to visit it...Calling All Sistahs - CAS #13

I'm hoping that with the yellow and green in my card that they'll let me know if it's not acceptable. But isn't their photo inspiration beautiful? It gives me an idea for another card! The theme for their challenge is a card of encouragement. I know this fits the bill!

Recipe:

  • Whisper White Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
  • Night of Navy Mat:  3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
  • Balmy Blue Panel:   3 3/4″ x 5″
  • So Saffron: 1/2" circle for sun
  • Old Olive for die cut grass pieces
  • Stamp Lily Pad on Whisper White scrap with Tuxedo Black, die cut and color with Old Olive and So Saffron
  • Stamp Heron on Whisper White with Tuxedo Black and die cut
  • Stamp sentiment on Whisper White scrap and die cut
  • Night of Navy: Die cut piece behind sentiment and then cut in half
  • Blueberry Bushel: Die cut water

For the inside: Stamp sentiment in Blueberry Bushel and stamp "waves" in same color

Thanks for stopping by...I appreciate it!

  1. well we just love your card at Calling All Sistahs-you can use either the photo or the colours or either to inspire you to make a card to brighten someone's day and you don't need to use all the colours....so yes your card works perfectly for us! I love the subtle use of the pattern in the background and how you followed this through to the centre of the card. Thanks for joining us at Inkspirational we are so pleased you did and we have a new challenge starting the 18th of each month!
