Stampin' Up! Alphabest Bingo!

Good Sunday morning, peeps! How's your weekend going? I'm sure we in the States and all over the world are remembering what happened to beloved friends, family and people we didn't know on this day 21 years ago at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and in a field in Shanksville. My husband and I were in a Corvette tour in 2002 taking our representative state flags to the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. They were the flags that hung over the state Capitols from as far west as Washington, as far south as Florida and as far north as Maine. It was quite the sight to see with so many Corvettes in a row traveling from point to point where we would meet up with those from other states. Here's a picture collage of our trip, which hardly shows it all.

The whole experience was so emotional and I will never forget it or the people I met along the way. We have owned four Corvettes and my husband was a collector of Franklin Mint Corvettes that I will hang onto until I can find someone who will love them and take care of them. Let me know if you know of anyone. It all boils down to community, doesn't it?

Yes, I think so and so do the peeps at Path of Positivity for their challenge #104. I've created a card that represents my community of Tara Woods. We play Bingo every Tuesday night and the folks are quite serious about it. Do you like to play Bingo? If so, this card's for you! I hate Bingo but I love the people who play it. Take a look see...

I used the Alphabest Stamp Set and the Best Label Punch, along with sentiments from This Birthday Piggy Stamp Set and the retired Window Punch. The paper is from a friend who was involved with scrapbooking with Close to My Heart papers.

The inside...

I'm also entering my card in the Repetition challenge at Inkspirational #273  because there are so many repeated numbers on this paper...but not on a real Bingo card! I've also repeated the use of the punch.
If you aren't familiar with die-hard Bingo players, whenever "O 66" is called, they ring a bell. Thus the bell on the front which is cut from Silver Foil with a die from the Birdhouse Dies which is bundled with the Pretty Birds Stamp Set. Whenever "B 4" is called, they all yell it out again in unison. It is quite hilarious. I only play when it's "Homeowner's Appreciation Weekend" because it's free and they still give prizes!

I hope you have enjoyed my fun card for this somber day in history.

  5. Lovely card representing your community Karen. I wasn't sure where Tara Woods and upon googling I see that you are located in one of the areas affected by Ian. I hope that you and your family are safe and not too badly affected. Thank you for entering the Something special about Your Community, Your Nation or The World At Large Challenge at Path of Positivity.
