Stampin' Up! Olive Branch Sympathy Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a color challenge today and here is what I created for our hop.

I chose to use Calypso Coral, Balmy Blue, Soft Succulent, and Orchid Oasis. How? By using the Fancy Flora 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and Calypso Coral cardstock, along with Basic White cardstock. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

My card base is Basic White cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4".  I used the largest scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours Die  Set to cut out my Calypso Coral mat. I adhered it to the card base with liquid glue.

Next I cut the Basic White rectangle with a die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies and ran it through my embossing machine with the Stripes & Splatters 3D embossing folder after I had stamped the sentiment from the Olive Branch Stamp Set, using Orchid Oasis Ink.

The Fancy Flora DSP squares are cut with the smallest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered them to the embossed panel with liquid glue.

I  used about 36" of Orchid Oasis Metallic Ribbon to wrap around the embossed panel and tied a bow. Then I adhered the panel to the card front with liquid glue.

Three gold adhesive backed sequins from the Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins set finished the front.

I left the inside blank in order to write a message of condolences but adhered a 5 1/2" x 1/2" strip of Fancy Flora DSP to dress it up a little.
