Stampin' Up! Calls for a Celebration for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our weekly blog hop. This week we have a color challenge and I do love this one...

My upline gave me this stamp set awhile back and I just needed to bring it out today...

You see how much I love Berry Burst and Old Olive? I even made my own DSP with the flowery Botanical Bliss stamps. I got that idea watching Linda Bedinger the other day when I made my Sunday card.

I haven't played at The Flower Challenge in a long time so since my card shouts florals, I'm doing it today!

For the design, I was inspired by Connie Stewart when she did her OSW (One Sheet Wonder) with a 6" x 6" piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper). I used a piece of 12" x 12" Whisper White card stock and cut four pieces. I only used one piece to create my DSP. Later I can create three more pieces of DSP. I'll put the remaining measurements for the rest of the card down below.

I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White using Old Olive ink. I fussy cut it and adhered it to my homegrown DSP square.

The Crushed Curry daisy is punched with the Daisy Punch and the center is a punched out circle from my DSP. I adhered that with a Dimensional.

The 2019 Occasions Catalog offers Old Olive Linen Thread, which I used for my bow. I adhered that with a glue dot.

The inside sentiment is from Picture Perfect Birthday and the flowers are from the Daisy Delight stamp set.

Stampin' Up! has so many colors that coordinate and I love that the card stock, inks and markers match perfectly. I also have discovered that I love making my own DSP!

Thank you for stopping by today and looking at my project. I hope you will be able to take the time to visit all the other hopper blogs. You won't be disappointed and it will be well worth your time.

These measurements make two cards:

Berry Burst Card Base: Cut 1/2" off the 8 1/2" side so that it measures 8" x 11", score at 4 1/4"; turn the paper and cut at 5 1/2" (now you have two bases).

Patterned Paper that is 6" x 6": cut at 3". Take one piece and cut in half again so you have two 3" squares. Take the remaining 3" x 6" strip and cut 1/2" off the 6" side. Now you have a piece that measures 3" x 5 1/2". Cut four strips from that piece measuring 1/2" x 5 1/2". These are used for the edges inside. The remaining piece can be used for cutting out the center of your daisy using a 1/2" circle punch.

Crushed Curry card stock: Cut two pieces 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" for punching out four daises. Glue two daisies together.

Whisper White: Cut two pieces 3 1/4" x 5" for the inside of your cards.

Old Olive Linen Thread: Cut as long as you want to make your bow
