Stampin' Up! Painted Seasons

This is my second post for today because after all the effort I went to to make it for a challenge, I don't want it to be late! I told Ann Schach I would be CASEing her card at The Paper Players PP430 challenge. I just loved her sketch and the papers she used. She has a free tutorial on her personal blog so I will not be including instructions here...why reinvent the wheel!

Just click on the link or the image and it will take you to The Paper Players site and from there you can get to Ann.

I hope you like my card. If you have any questions about my CASE, just leave me a comment and I'll get back to you tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by. You need to have this bundle people...it's available March 1!!

Stampin' Up! Dear Doily for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome to our weekly blog hop. This week we have a sketch challenge and it was a really difficult one for me. I just couldn't get my imagination or creativity to go there exactly. Here's the sketch...

No photo description available.
and I brought out my Dear Doily Bundle to create my card for the challenge...and then I was back to monochromatic...perhaps I have mono! Just threw that in for fun...I'm not sick.

That's as close as I could get to the sketch. I can't wait to see what my fellow teammates created.

My iPhone camera does not really show the three different washi tape designs and the punched sentiment looks uneven in the camera angle (I used a die from Petals & More). In real life, it is even. I'm playing again at Ellibelle's Dies/Punches Challenge.

The inside is blank because I will be writing a note to the recipient. BUT how can I write a note inside when the outside says that words can't express...lol. I'll figure it out somehow!

Over at Time Out, they are encouraging us to be unique. I think the use of washi tape is unique for me.

The Paper Craft Crew has a challenge for a simple card. This one is so easy for a beginner!

Well, if you've been on blogs hops, you know the drill. If not, clicking on the "next" button will take you to Eva and clicking on any name listed will take you to that team member's blog. Thanks for hopping with us.

Stampin' Up! Woodland TIEF

This is another card we made at Sue's last week. Again, she had the kit made for us and all we had to do was glue it together...she makes life easy for us!

The mat was embossed with the Woodland TIEF on Whisper White card stock and adhered to a Basic Black base (say that three times fast!).

Sue had the silver glimmer paper frame already cut out, along with the deer (silver foil paper). I have no idea what company the die is from but don't you just love the antlers? The "Merry Christmas" is from a stick on sheet.

I'm playing again at Jingle Belles - All That Glitters and again at Festive Friday

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala and Duet Punch Bundle

Did you get nervous when you saw Butterfly Gala as my stamp set today? Well, remember, I promised you wouldn't see it with Star of Light...I am true to my promise.

I got the idea of the fun fold from Terri Gaines.

Oh my gosh...I have to admit I love this card, the colors and design. I may have to create more in different colors schemes but still using the delightful Botanical Butterflies DSP.

Over at #tgifc200 they have a "Bunches of Butterflies" challenge, which I am entering today.

and at #SUOC217 they are having an Occasions + Sale-A-Bration challenge. The punch is in the 2019 Occastions catalog and the paper is a free SAB promotion when you purchase $50 worth of product. The sentiments are from Lasting Lily (another SAB free item with purchase of $100).

The inside is underwhelming after seeing the front, I think...but it lends itself to a written note!

The partial list of products I used are below. If you would like a full list, along with measurements and instructions, I will be happy to email them to you. Just let me know in a comment.

Update: The Butterfly Gala Bundle is not available at the moment and the estimated availability is TBD. Sorry about that so I hope you already have this set!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Stampin' Up! Lily Pad Lake Bundle, et al

It's Makeover Monday and today I have CASEd the card posted last Tuesday the 19th. Here's the original...
and here's it is made over...

I really think I like the first one better! I had extra triangles cut so they were in my stash. Guess what? Inkspirational Challenge #181 has this week?

uh huh!

So, I promised instructions and measurements...

Measurements:

  • Granny Apple Green Card Base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"
  • Blushing Bride Mat: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Whisper White Mat: 3 3/4" x 5" and 4" x 5 1/4" (for the inside)
  • Tropical Chic DSP of your choice for cutting strips 1 1/2" x 6" (I chose 4 here)
  • Scrap Whisper White for sentiment, bird and lily pads
  • Optional: 7" of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon

Instructions:
  • Take your DSP strips and cut them in half diagonally from end to end so you have two triangles.
  • Lay them on the Whisper White Mat and arrange them however you like. You can leave a tad of white space in between or butt them together. (Last week's had no white space.) Take a picture if your memory is not the best!
  • Remove them in order and starting with your middle piece, adhere it to the mat. Repeat around for the rest of the pieces. Try not to get excess glue on the part that will hang off the edge. You can put stick glue or Snail Adhesive on the mat only and then lay your pieces down to eliminate that problem! You will be cutting off the excess so you don't want to gum up your trimmer or scissors.
  • Trim all the pieces that hang off the edges of the mat. If you have white space at the bottom, you can take small pieces to fill in or use ribbon to wrap around at the bottom.
  • Adhere that to the Blushing Bride mat.
  • Wrap the ribbon around these two mats and adhere to the front of the card base.
  • Stamp the bird with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out with the die from Lakeside Framelits.
  • Stamp the lily pads the same way and color as you desire. I used Blends and watercolor pencils. Cut it out with appropriate Lakeside Framelits die.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Granny Apple Green and cut out with the die from Petals & More Thinlits.
  • Adhere the cut out pieces with mini dimensionals.
  • Stamp the sentiment from Fabulous Flamingo on the inside mat in Blushing Bride.
  • Stamp the pond frond in Granny Apple Green, stamping off once, i.e., stamp full strength on a scrap of paper then stamp on mat...it's also called second generation stamping for those who are new to stamping.
  • Punch two of the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. Adhere to inside card base.
You can also create it with a space at the bottom, which is how I did it three years ago. Just readjust the size of the mat to which you are adhering the diagonals.

If you have any questions, I'll try to answer asap...just leave a comment. A partial list of products used is noted below.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this card.

Stampin' Up! Detailed Deer

Oh, I guess it's Christmas in February!
AND I think I'll enter my card in three challenges:

Festive Friday - Glimmer (I didn't choose the Mardi Gras part of the challenge, obviously!)

Yeppers, embossing on the red banner, the deer glitters and it's cut from gold glimmer paper.

Barb had prepared this kit for our Thursday group gathering. The deer was cut out from Gold Glimmer Paper using a die from the Detailed Deer Thinlits. Those have a matching stamp set, Dashing Deer. The musical DSP might be from the Stampin' Up! retired Merry Music. The banner was embossed with a zig zag TIEF. I don't where the ribbon came from but I love it!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for another Makeover Monday.

Stampin' Up! Monochromatic

Happy Friday, peeps and I promise this is the last you will see of this design this week...lol. I was on a roll with these sets! I just had to make two more and enter one in the challenge at Stamp Ink Paper

Monochrome can be considered many shades of one color as in the image above. I happen to have someone in my family who loves black and white and that is another definition of monochromatic. Thus my card for today is black and white.

The inside is black, white and what appears to be gray, but it's actually black stamped off once (and that once is on the front of the card!) That's an ink saver!

I was curious to see what it would look like in Basic Black and Very Vanilla. I like the Whisper White better...what say you? I'm entering this one in The Paper Players Monochromatic Challenge PP429. LeAnne chose a great challenge.

There is a subtle difference on the front of the vanilla card. See it? We could play "spot the differences" here...lol.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be back tomorrow. Really, I promise...no Butterfly Gala or Star of Light!

Stampin' Up! Painted Lavender Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a sketch challenge today and here is what I created for our hop... I took a litt...
