Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala

If you went on the hop yesterday, you probably will remember that one of my team mates is Jaimie Barbarczy. She lives near where I used to and she lives near my daughter. We have never met but I can tell you she is fun and talented! I was inspired by her to make my card today. You can watch her make hers here if you'd like.

The Butterfly Gala Stamp Set is a new one. You can find it in the 2019 Occasions Catalog, which just came out yesterday. There is a tab to view it at the top of this post. My card is a conglomeration of products used so where it's not SU, I will mention it.

My card base is Calypso Coral with a mat of Cajun Craze. The Whisper White panel is dry embossed with the retired "Flittering" TIEF. The 2 1/4" circle was punched from a collection of Miraposa DSP that I purchased at JoAnn's years ago. I used Gina K's Rose Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment from the stamp set.

Before I adhered the sentiment to the front of the card, I did a dry run for the placement of the butterflies I punched from the Butterfly Duet (in the Occasions Catalog). I inked them up with Calypso Coral and Grapefruit Grove inks, along with Memento Tuxedo Black. The ribbons I used are the 5/8" Burlap and Calypso Coral 1/8" Sheer.

I think it's very loving when you call a friend "beautiful", don't you? I have a friend who I think is beautiful inside and out and she is very loving and thoughtful...she'll be the recipient so I can't show you the inside of the card. However, I CAN post the outside on the Time Out Challenge #126 "Loving". I hope you'll take time out to visit their blog...I'm loving it!
Thank you for stopping by and if you have any questions, give me a shout out. Remember to watch Jaimie's video to see the basics of how the card is made. Why reinvent the wheel, right?!!

    1. Thank you, Mary. The butterflies do look sparkly in the photo but they're not. Maybe I'll add Wink of Stella or Champagne paint!
