Stampin' Up! Lemon Zest for Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop

Welcome to another monthly Inkin’ Krew blog hop! Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring  Stampin’ Up! products.  This month we are all creating projects with a “Celebrate Summer” theme and I’m featuring the Lemon Zest stamp set for my card.

My card base is Lemon Lime Twist. The mat is Grapefruit Grove and the art panel is Whisper White, which I sponged in Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist and Pineapple Punch. I chose these colors not only because they remind me of summer, but because it was the color challenge at #tgifc167 Color Challenge

and the word challenge at Just Us Girls Challenge #448~Word Week

First I used the fruit slice stamp to stamp in Grapefruit Grove ink after I rubbed the panel with my Embossing Buddy. I then stamped it in Versamark ink and sprinkled it with Clear Emboss Powder. I heat set it with my Heat Tool. I chose to emboss the fruit slice because of CAS-ual Friday #203.

Next I stamped the sentiment from Lemon Zest in Grapefruit Grove. Then I used the little drink cup and straw stamp from Colorful Seasons to fill in the white space with summery drinks. I wrapped a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon around the mat and secured it on the back with glue dots. I cut a little piece of the ribbon and tied a faux bow around it. Then I adhered it to the card with liquid glue.

My design was inspired by Just Add Ink #416..."Sketch"

For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Colorful Seasons in Grapefruit Grove. Using stamps from Waterfront, I stamped the sun in Pineapple Punch, the palm tops in Lemon Lime Twist and the trunks in Crumb Cake.

    1. Help yourself! I am not a fan of lemonade, Gatorade nor Arnold Palmers. My taste buds get themselves in a wad just thinking about it...lol. Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
