Stampin' Up! Petal Passion Designer Series Paper

This week I'm into making quick and easy cards that are relaxing. My theme is Jaydee's Spring Has Sprung PP383

My colors are chosen from Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #284
and I played Tic-Tac-Tuesday Challenge #2 for my card front.
I picked the top left corner down to the right bottom corner...ribbon/flowers/dots.
My card base is Rich Razzleberry, which you can barely see. Want to know why? Well, it's because I had the card all done and went to open it. You guessed it...I had adhered the front to my original card base (which was Daffodil Delight) the wrong way. So, I cut my card up and adhered it to the Rich Razzleberry. More layers than I wanted BUT sometimes a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do.

So that explains two layers. The next is Tranquil Tide. The fourth and top layer is a piece of Petal Passion DSP. The ribbon is Rich Razzleberry.

Coloring is so relaxing for me. It relieves most of my stress. I used my Tranquil Tide Stampin' Write Marker, Rich Razzleberry Dark and Light Blends, along with the Daffodil Delight Dark and Light Blends to color the flowers and leaves. The DSP did not have dots so I took the "dot" stamp from Petal Palette stamp set and stamped them in Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, and Tranquil Tide. The yellow doesn't really show in the photo (it's on the left side) and I didn't do a whole bunch because of space limitations.

I didn't add a sentiment as I'm not certain who the recipient will be. I will then complete the inside too.

Thank you for stopping by today.

  12. Very pretty card, Karen! I love all the coloring on it. I hear you about not putting a sentiment on the front of a card. Who knows what I might need it for! Thanks for sharing it with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday for our second Tic Tac Tuesday Challenge.
