Stampin' Up! Party Panda Birthday

I used the cute Party Pandas Sale-A-Bration stamp set for my card to share with you today.

My card layout was inspired by Sketch Saturday Week #503

Fab Friday 132 chose my colors for me!

I started by cutting three pieces of Pool Party Birthday Bouquet DSP (retired) and a piece of Pool Party Glitter Ribbon (retired). I layed them on my Rich Razzleberry mat.

I then stamped the panda in Soft Suede on a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out with the next to largest square from Layering Squares Thinlits. I also cut out the matching scalloped square in Pool Party.

With a mask in place for the panda, I stamped the bouquet in Memento Tuxedo Black. I removed the mask and colored the bouquet with Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Old Olive inks, using a Blender Pen. I adhered the panda to the scalloped mat with Dimensionals and lined it up with the balloon strips. I switched the strips until the string from his hand matched up with one of the balloons. I then glued the strips and ribbon to the card front. Then I adhered the art piece to the card front with more Dimensionals. I adhered the card front to my Old Olive base and the front was done.

For the inside, I had an extra strip of balloons so I matted that to a piece of Rich Razzleberry. I glued that to the Whisper White mat. Using my Misti (soon to be replaced with the Stamparatus), I lined up the sentiments from Amazing You (Sale-A-Bration) and stamped in Soft Suede. Then I adhered that panel to my card base.

I hope you enjoyed reading my post today. If you have any questions, please let me know.

  4. I really like how you used the narrow strip of DSP! What a great idea to use up some narrow pieces...and to carry it over to the inside of the card too! So cute! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
