Stampin' Up! Masculine!

Good Friday to you! Let the viewer beware: This card uses a retired stamp from Definitely Decorative Pines 1998 (borrowed from a friend) and a retired stamp set pictured below (The Wilderness Awaits). I am willing to sell the stamp set in order to make room for new stamps in April!

That's one of the perks of becoming a demonstrator...you get to buy the products after On Stage in April but before the Annual Catalog goes live on June 1. If you want to learn more about becoming a demonstrator, let me know...I would be delighted to assist you.

On with the card...

The technique should be familiar if you have been following my blog. If not, it's called "Retiform". The colors are black and white. It was for my third entry at All Sorts but the challenge kinda ended!

Why did I choose to use something you can't buy through Stampin' Up!? Good question...and the answer is because it's for the Silent Auction in Maine for Cystic Fibrosis. I mean, does this not shout Maine to you? Plus I needed a masculine card for it.

I did use Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon on the card rather than continuing the retiform technique. I also think my sentiment is going a little up hill. I have such a difficult time getting things perfectly straight even when I use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. I wonder if anyone out there has a tutorial on stamping straight sentiments?

Here's the inside...

Hope you enjoyed my card and thanks for stopping by to take a look see.

  2. Thank you, Amy. I hate to sell my stamps but I have to as I really don't have room for new ones and that is quite important!

  3. Yes, ma'am! Since every new Annual Catalog has been better than the last - I suspect you;'re going to want some space very soon! Very nice masculine card! And - my eyeballs aren't calibrated right either. I ended up with crookedy sentiments all the time, even with the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig! :)
