Just For Fun: Carol's Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated Carol's birthday.

She is celebrating her 39th birthday still 46 years later. I love this woman...she still works 5 to 6 hours a day and continues to make cards with the group every week (unless the store asks her to work overtime!) She can run circles around me!!

Sue M. was our hostess and not only did she provide a healthy lunch (vegetable frittata) but baked a calorie free birthday cake...
uh huh! It was an angel food cake with a whipped cream, Heath bar crunch frosting. I had a piece for lunch and a piece for dinner!

She prepared beautiful card kits for us and I'll show you one today. She and a couple of the gals went to the Stamp Fest show at New Port Richey a couple of weeks ago and she bought these particular stamps there. We all fell in love with them...

Over at Alphabet Challenge Blog their challenge is "Y" which equals "Y"our Choice. So it was my choice to enter this card!

The inks I used were Early Espresso, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Calypso Coral. Just Add Ink #399 - Just Add Water is my second challenge. I used my Aqua Painter and the colors above to give the illusion of a sunset, water and sand. I love this card and I have a particular recipient for it. It will involve printing an original sentiment on the computer for the inside.

We had such a great time today stamping together. I hope you had a good time visiting my short but sweet post. I'm telling you, that cake was delicious!!
