Stampin' Up! Epic Celebration

is why I stamped this particular sentiment on the inside of my card. I don't usually post the inside of my card first, but I wanted to save the best for last!
The sentiment is from Epic Celebration, which is a stamp set exclusive to Sale-A-Bration. It's stamped in Tranquil Tide and lightly sponged with the same ink.

Here's the front...

I just love this card front. It was created with inks and bottle caps on watercolor paper. Yes, bottle caps...why? Well, because of Shopping Our Stash #341 - You Stamped With What??

I was inspired by Maria Rodriguez, a member of the Design Team. She recommended watching this video of Jay Lee and his watercoloring techniques. The video is way cool and he paints with his son by his side. So, I used a wine bottle cap, a Coca Cola cap, a water bottle cap and the cap from a Moroccan oil bottle. My inks are Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight.

The sequins were added because of the challenge at Double D. You had to use more than one sequin and I used 5. I stamped the "hello" from the Fruit Basket stamp set inside the bubbles with LLT, TT and BB (you can find the matching names above!).

I edged the watercolor paper with my Tranquil Tide Stampin' Write Marker. I adhered it to a piece of DSP from Delightful Daisy using Dimensionals to raise it up.

This technique is so much fun. I know Jay Lee used some other type of medium but my Stampin' Up! ink pads worked fine for me.

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you tomorrow.
