Stampin' Up! Bird Banter

Good morning Peeps! (see what I did there!)

I'm linking my card today to these three challenges:

1. Alphabet Challenge - "U" - The theme of "U"se something 3 times was chosen by Julie.

2. Jaydee helped me pick my colors: PP376 - A Color Challenge from Jaydee

3. SSC 170 - New Year, New Sketch, designed by Lisa.

I used the Bird Banter stamp set to stamp 3 different birds in 3 different colors. The color challenge allowed a 4th color so I used my "Flesh" Stampin' Blend to color the cockatoo and beaks. I know a cockatoo has a black beak, but this cockatoo is not real peeps...lol.

I didn't have enough space to be able to cut squares for my birds so I used my Aqua Painter and 3 inks to create the illusion of squares. I colored the birds with a Blender Pen and the 3 inks. The parakeet got a little lost in the scheme of things and the macaw was not as colorful as I would have liked but it worked for the challenge. You have not seen the last of this stamp set!

The sentiments are stamped with the same set. I hand cut the 3 banners on the front and stuck them together with glue dots. I guess I get carried away when I hear the word "three"...you can't see them, but I used 3 glue dots...lol.

This was a fun card for me because I love Lemon Lime Twist. Have I ever told you that before? AND I love birds. We have had many parakeets and one cockatiel. Our son-in-love has had a cockatoo and currently has a macaw.

Thank you for stopping by and I'm so thankful that there are more than 3 types of birds in real life!!
