One Sheet Wonders

Today was "Stamp Club" at my house. We made cards from a "one sheet wonder" template from Deb Valder. Here are samples ...

I like the turquoise color with More Mustard and the Bohemian DSP. What a clever concept the OSW is! We didn't put sentiments on the cards so that if we needed a particular theme in a hurry, that would be all that was needed.

We also used Connie Stewart's Flash Cards and Flash Cards 2.0 templates to make these cards. Again, I love the retired Walk in the Park DSP from 2011! The colors (or lack thereof!) were basic gray and black.

These were the other two cards we made. (Details are in another post.) It was a colorful, fun day!

Watermarks!

Today I taught myself how to put a watermark on my card. Let's see if it worked...

It did! Yay me!! This is the inside of the card I made for my friend's son's birthday. I love the Lost Lagoon color cardstock and ink. It will be retiring from Stampin' Up! so I better stock up!! Thanks for looking.

Mickey and the Mets

Today my back muscles are spazzing (is that a word?) so I can't make cards. I found some pics on my computer of two cards I made for specific people. One is a Mickey fan and the other is a Mets fan. The Mets card is an original so if you copy or pin, please give me credit. The Mickey card was CASEd from Cailinn O'Brien, another SU demonstrator.

For the inside of the card, I used string, the Banner Blast stamp set and banner punch. I wrote a message on the card and can't block it out, thus no photo.

For our Godson's 3rd birthday, I created this card.

For his 4th birthday I made this one and never got to send it. He is now 8 and might be a little too old to send it, BUT he still is cute as a button!

Hello Cutie!

I created this card using the outside of a "Cutie" tangerine box. The mesh acted as a stencil. It looks better in person with the embossing, resembling a brick wall. I used SU Blackberry Bliss and Bohemian DSP. The corners were done with SU Curvy Trio Punch.

This card would be good for a beach lover. It reminds me of Cape Cod! I used the Hardwood background stamp from SU and a Darice embossing folder for the clouds.

Hey Chickie!

I love these two stamp sets. The first one is for my friend's daughter-in-law, who does not want to admit her real age. I really like the way it turned out. Do you?

If you choose to share it anywhere or with anyone, please give me credit as I designed everything myself (well, not the stamps!). I know a lot of stampers put a copyright on their cards but to me that doesn't seem necessary and I'm not even sure it holds water in the legal world.

This next one is for my friend's 10 year old grandson. I was inspired by a card that Diane Weinfeld had posted. I changed it up a little!

Now it's time to clean up my work space and restart tomorrow!

Hang in There!

Today I made another card for my friend who is going through a rough time. I love the Honeycomb Happiness stamp and I'm so glad I spent $50 to get it free through Sale-A-Bration. You only have until March 31 to order...please take advantage of the sale. Just click on my "Shop Now" button! This was CASED from Barb Stencel.

This next card I CASED from Karen Gooch. It is for my friend's brother's Anniversary.

If you would like more info on anything, just leave a comment and I'll get back to you.

More Easter is better than Noreaster!

I finally found my other Easter cards. They are all in the mail so I made sure I had pics! These are made with the Secret Garden SU set. Tomorrow I'll be making another birthday card for a friend to send to our 95 year old mutual friend. Stay tuned!

Happy Easter!

These are a couple of Easter cards I made. Where does the time go? I need to get a stamp set that really shows the meaning of Easter. Happy Easter peeps. He is risen!

This one I made for our Godson, who will be 8 in July.

This one is for my sister...she played the French horn in high school! Not sure if you can see it clearly on the dictionary background layer.

I'm trying to decide who to send this one to, as I have many friends who love bunnies...but not more than I, so I may keep it!

I have more to post, but I just have to locate the pictures. This is such a learning curve for me!!

If you leave a comment on any of my posts, bad or good, I would appreciate knowing someone is looking!!

Life is a Beautiful Ride

These are the cards we made at our group. We had a delicious lunch in a gorgeous home and it all added the funness (is that a word?) of the day!

This first card was a delightful one using the map background. The woman who taught us to make it has a Volkswagen! These stamps are from Beautiful Ride in the current Occasions catalog. The set is only available until May 31,2016. Click this link if you would like to order through me. Thank you for shopping with me OR for leaving a comment!

The next card was made using the stamp set Grateful Bunch and the Blossom Bunch Punch. You can save 15% by buying the bundle. The item number is 140801 in the Occasions Catalog. The card has three parts to it and it is absolutely stunning in the colors Meg chose to have us make (Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry). I have already given it to a dear friend who is totally awesome but she is going through a rough time! She said she would not want the above card at the moment! This was CASEd from Lisa Curcio. She has an excellent video for it.

With Easter just around the corner we made a third card. The colors and the stamps are retired.

That's all for the group until I have it at my house the end of March. Happy Easter peeps!

Number of Years

Our group was supposed to make four different cards. However, they were pretty labor intensive...especially this first one. I love the floating balloons on the inside window sheet, but you can't get the effect in the photo.

The above card was created using Number of Years bundle from Stampin Up and the Balloon Bouquet punch. Paper was basic black, whisper white, silver glimmer paper and black glimmer paper, which is retired. We are all hoping SU brings that back. If you have any questions about the rest of the card, leave me a comment and I'll get back to you.
This card was created using a page from an old dictionary. The colors are Pear Pizazz and Cherry Cobbler plus Whisper White.

Birthday and Baby for Family

I was busy today! My brother, grandson, two friends, my sister and brother-in-law have birthdays this month! Our niece and her hubby had their first baby yesterday. I was so excited about how the card came out that I forgot to take a picture! However, another niece is having a baby in April so hers is partially done and is pictured here. On Brianna and Matt's baby card, I put the name, birth day, weight, inches and "Welcome Baby" on the bib. I can't put my sister's card on here because she might look at this blog! Hope you enjoy looking.

Seashore

I CASE'd this card from Cathy using different items but same idea. It is for a friend who gives me stamps she doesn't need. That helps me save money to buy more SU products! For this one, I used the two-step starfish stamp from SU Picture Perfect, Soft Suede SU ink, Desert Sand Memento ink, a Sahara Sand "knockoff" cardstock, Ranger white Liquid Pearls for the center, circle dies, an ocean-like DSP from Going Places paper stack, SU Lost Lagoon ribbon, SU Whisper White for circle and layer under DSP. The base is SU Pool Party as I ran out of Lost Lagoon cardstock. The "Thank You" was a die that my friend let me borrow and for the inside the sand dollar is from SU By the Seashore, a retired set. which she also let me borrow. The coral is the Big Sea Fan stamp by fredbmullett. Cathy has an excellent tutorial on You Tube for this.
